Job Summary:
In this hands-on role, you will operate and maintain various machines used in the production process, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflow. Your proactive approach helps keep operations running smoothly while supporting our commitment to delivering top-notch packaging and manufacturing solutions. Responsibilities:
- Operate manufacturing machinery with precision and care.
- Set up and maintain production lines and ensure process control throughout the production line.
- Conduct routine inspections and monitor machine performance to prevent downtime and maintain product quality.
- Safely load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Protect and maintain production tooling and complete related equipment at set-up, during production and post-production (line take-down).
- Follow safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate complex problems to supervisor and/or maintenance teams promptly.
- Maintain accurate production logs, quality documentation, and shift reports to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operation is highly preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools and machinery controls with precision.
- GED or High School Diploma, required.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 25-30 lbs.
- Capable of standing 8-12 hours per shift.
- Adequate vision to monitor machine operation, read gauges and inspect for safety and quality requirements.
- Ability to move around production area, including bending, reaching and squatting as needed.
- Ability to work effectively on 2nd or 3rd shift, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling.
- Able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Able to read instructions, forms and other documents in English language, preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Basic mechanical skills related to machining or equipment troubleshooting are beneficial.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
