Job Summary:

Machine Operator - 2nd & 3rd Shift.
 
Responsible for the setup, operation, and changeover of profile extrusion lines and associated equipment, including fabrication tools. Assists with employee training in these functions when required. May perform duties under a one-line, single operator/packer combination role as operational needs dictate.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain production lines, ensuring process control and product quality throughout the production run. 
  • Meet production schedules and output requirements as assigned by the supervisor. 
  • Assist and provide relief coverage for packers as needed. 
  • Perform inspections, process checks, routine maintenance, and complete all required documentation. 
  • Protect, maintain, and properly utilize production tooling and related equipment during setup, production, and line teardown activities. 
  • Achieve and maintain quality, productivity, and efficiency standards established by management. 
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including hazard reporting, safety rule enforcement, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area for assigned production lines. 
  • Take proactive measures to prevent nonconformities related to products, processes, and the quality management system. 
  • Identify, document, and report issues related to products, processes, equipment, and quality systems. 
  • Recommend and support corrective actions and process improvements through established channels. 
  • Ensure all accidents, injuries, incidents, and near misses are reported promptly and accurately. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949, Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements applicable to the position. 
  • Understanding of how the role impacts Global Enterprises' quality objectives and overall operational performance. 
  • Awareness of customer requirements and the ability to contribute to meeting or exceeding those requirements. 
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills. 
  • Good motor coordination and the ability to perform repetitive tasks safely and effectively. 
  • Ability to understand and follow process instructions, control plans, and standard operating procedures. 
  • Basic knowledge of problem-solving methodologies and Statistical Process Control (SPC). 
  • Ability to identify quality issues and support corrective actions in accordance with established procedures.

Pay Rates:

  • 2nd Shift: $16.75/hour
  • 3rd Shift: $17.00/hour
