Job Summary:

As a Finished Goods Inspector, you play a key role in ensuring that only high-quality products reach our customers. You are responsible for performing final inspections, identifying non-conforming or suspect parts, and supporting proper product disposition in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. By applying your attention to detail, quality knowledge, and commitment to safety, you help uphold company standards and support continuous improvement initiatives. This onsite position offers the opportunity to work closely with Quality Assurance and production teams while directly contributing to product quality and customer satisfaction.
 
$17.00 an hour

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough final inspections on all manufactured parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Verify that finished goods are correctly packed and properly organized on skids
  • Identify and report non-conforming or suspect parts to the shift supervisor
  • Generate and document notices of nonconformance for defective materials
  • Guide rework personnel during re-inspection of reworked parts and clarify required corrective actions
  • Maintain and update final inspection records and documentation accurately
  • Perform dock audits as requested by the QA Manager or leadership
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly calibration schedules for gauges and inspection equipment
  • Assist with annual Gage R&R studies as directed
  • Participate in problem-solving activities, including 8D reports, corrective action plans, and Quality Operating System initiatives
  • Perform occasional inspections on production lines for urgent shipment requirements
  • Follow all safety guidelines and immediately report hazards or violations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Basic experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection environment preferred
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools such as calipers and rulers
  • Basic blueprint reading skills
  • Understanding of IATF 16949, EMS, and Quality Management System awareness requirements
  • Knowledge of industry quality and safety regulations
  • Basic literacy using MRP systems
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Basic math, reading skills, and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures
  • Physical requirements include standing for the entire shift, lifting 25–50 lbs., bending, stooping, kneeling for extended periods, and sufficient stamina and core strength to perform job duties safely
