Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough final inspections on all manufactured parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Verify that finished goods are correctly packed and properly organized on skids
- Identify and report non-conforming or suspect parts to the shift supervisor
- Generate and document notices of nonconformance for defective materials
- Guide rework personnel during re-inspection of reworked parts and clarify required corrective actions
- Maintain and update final inspection records and documentation accurately
- Perform dock audits as requested by the QA Manager or leadership
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly calibration schedules for gauges and inspection equipment
- Assist with annual Gage R&R studies as directed
- Participate in problem-solving activities, including 8D reports, corrective action plans, and Quality Operating System initiatives
- Perform occasional inspections on production lines for urgent shipment requirements
- Follow all safety guidelines and immediately report hazards or violations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Basic experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection environment preferred
- Ability to use basic measuring tools such as calipers and rulers
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Understanding of IATF 16949, EMS, and Quality Management System awareness requirements
- Knowledge of industry quality and safety regulations
- Basic literacy using MRP systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as a team player
- Basic math, reading skills, and mechanical aptitude
- Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures
- Physical requirements include standing for the entire shift, lifting 25–50 lbs., bending, stooping, kneeling for extended periods, and sufficient stamina and core strength to perform job duties safely
