Job Summary:

The Extrusion Expert is responsible for optimizing, troubleshooting, and continuously improving extrusion processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role serves as the technical authority for extrusion operations, supporting production teams in process setup, parameter development, equipment performance, material utilization, and product quality. The Extrusion Expert works closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to achieve operational excellence and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize extrusion processes to improve productivity, quality, and material utilization.
  • Troubleshoot process, equipment, and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
  • Develop, document, and maintain process parameters and operating standards.
  • Support new product launches, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Train and mentor operators on best practices, process control, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production and quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of extrusion manufacturing experience, including process setup, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of extrusion equipment, tooling, materials, and process controls.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze production data and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
