Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all APQP activities for assigned products to ensure compliance with quality standards and project timelines
- Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and verify the accuracy and completeness of technical documentation, including bills of materials and blueprints
- Serve as a liaison between sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and objectives
- Analyze open blueprint issues and engineering concerns and initiate preventive actions to avoid non-conformances
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and quote new processes and products, supporting feasibility studies, FMEA development, and control plans
- Assist with validating tooling performance and functionality to ensure production readiness
- Provide timely support to sales and customer service related to tooling information and customer inquiries
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the APQP process while adhering to safety guidelines
- Upload and maintain required APQP and production documentation in applicable production databases
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing engineering or related role required
- Understanding of profile extrusion, fabrication, and related manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949, EMS, and Quality Management System awareness requirements
- Clear understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning tools and methodologies, including flow charts, control plans, FMEAs, and process controls
- Ability to interpret blueprints, perform product measurements, and manage documentation within quality systems
- Proficiency in the use of measuring tools such as calipers and rulers
- Familiarity with Environmental Policy and awareness of how the role impacts EMS objectives and targets
- Understanding of how this role affects quality, cost, and delivery objectives
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job duties requiring prolonged sitting or standing, movement throughout office and manufacturing areas, occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting of materials up to 25 lbs., with sufficient visual acuity to work safely in production and office environments
