Job Summary:
Responsible for operating and monitoring the Erema recycling process, converting production scrap into reusable pellets for manufacturing. Ensures safe, efficient operation of conveyors, grinders, metal detectors, and reprocessing equipment while maintaining material quality and equipment performance.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, start up, adjust, and shut down Erema reprocessing equipment and related systems.
- Follow assigned reprocessing schedules and production priorities.
- Monitor conveyors, grinders, metal detectors, and pelletizing equipment to ensure efficient processing.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Assist Scrap Handlers as needed.
- Prevent material contamination and identify quality or equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material and equipment concerns.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and report hazards immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Report all accidents, injuries, and equipment damage promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Ability to follow work instructions and material traceability requirements.
- Ability to safely operate a pallet jack and/or forklift.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of applicable IATF 16949, Quality Management System (QMS), and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.
